Back Wounds

Note that the cluster of back wounds are shallow but wide, not stab wounds by a strict definition ( see ). Note also, the second-lowest wound has a different orientation.

The autopsy report describes these wounds as follows:

“A cluster of nine (9) stab wound of the upper paramidline right and left sides of the back, ranging in size from ¾ to 1 1/2 inches, within a 6 x 5 ½ inch area; all wounds diplay blunt and sharply incised ends; all wounds penetrate soft tissue of back and impact upon ribs and lateral aspects of vertebral bone (transverse laminae and vertebral bodies), without penetration of chest cavity.”

This photo shows bleeding from the ear, can only occur if the gunshot was first.

Blood flowing straight down from the nose could only occur while Travis Alexander was upright.
