Ryan Burns was a new prospective boyfriend for Jodi. She arranged to meet him in Salt Lake City, and called him on June 3, 2008 saying she would be arriving in the morning on June 4, 2008, the same day Travis died in a fight with Jodi. Jodi actually arrived in the morning on June 5, 2008, about 24 hours later than expected.
At 56:50 Burns says in April/May 2008 he was talking to Jodi 4 or 5 times a week, “could be more even”, and exchanging text messages through the day sometimes.
Comment:
How could Jodi be insanely planning to murder Travis when she was actually moving on with Ryan Burns? And why would she tell Burns to expect her on June 4 if she was planning to murder Travis on that day? It makes no sense!

12) Ryan Burns testified that you met at a PPL event in April 2008 and you had blonde hair, how is that possible if you dyed it in March 2008?
Jodi: I did not meet Ryan in April, I met him in March. Convention is in March, he got it wrong.
